Precautions for long time storage of tractors

Jul 21, 2022

1. Check whether bolts and nuts are loose and tighten them if necessary.

2. Apply butter to areas where bare metal parts could cause rust.

3. Remove the counterweight from the tractor body.

4. Inflate your tires slightly above normal pressure.

5. Replace or fill relevant oil products according to the instructions. After replacing the engine oil, run the engine for about 5 minutes to make the oil flow all over the engine body and internal moving parts.

6. When storing the tractor for a long time, please keep the operating handle of the power output clutch in the "away" position.

7. After lowering all supporting machinery to the ground, butter all exposed hydraulic cylinder piston rods.

8. Remove the battery from the tractor. Store storage batteries in accordance with storage battery storage methods.

9. Store the tractor indoors in a dry area, where it is protected from sunlight and overheating. If the tractor must be stored outside, cover it with a tarpaulin. The tractor is jacked up and wooden blocks are placed under the front and rear axle to lift all four tires off the ground. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and extreme heat.

Important matters:

Be sure to stop the engine when cleaning the tractor before storage. Please allow the engine to cool down fully before cleaning. Cover the engine with a tarpaulin after the muffler and engine have cooled sufficiently.
